1. Fight alongside Daniel Bryan against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

This one may seem impossible after Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon appeared together on SmackDown LIVE on Tuesday night and exclaimed how ready they are for their match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on Sunday, but hear me out on how John Cena could play a factor in this.

We don’t know Shane McMahon’s actual condition yet, and regardless, there are a few interesting ways this could go. For one, you could have Owens and Zayn “attack” McMahon backstage to write him out of the match if his medical condition isn’t fully up to par just yet, and Bryan could scramble to find a new partner backstage. Of course, it would make sense for his sister-in-law’s husband to be sitting around backstage in a similar fashion as he would be for the Strowman match.

In another way, you could have McMahon fake being attacked by Owens and Zayn, with the same Cena situation happening in the back before the match. However, in the end of this scenario, McMahon comes out and turns on both Bryan and Cena, setting up a bigger feud on the SmackDown LIVE scene for after WrestleMania.

It’d create some buzz around Cena and the whole “Authority” type of angle going down on SmackDown the last few months, and could help to alleviate the stress of the Undertaker not appearing by having Cena jump naturally right into another storyline on a different brand. It may be a bit of a cop out and may seem like a promotion for a Total Bellas episode rather than WrestleMania, but it’s an easy way out of a sticky situation.
