2. Two players sent off in Merseyside derby

The Manchester derby isn’t the only big rivalry game on Saturday, as Everton host Liverpool at Goodison Park in what should be an exciting Merseyside derby in the early kickoff.

Everton have played well in the previous two derbies, drawing one and losing the other to a late goal from Virgil van Dijk. This weekend they’ll face an even tougher test with Liverpool flying high after tearing Manchester City apart on Wednesday.

Sam Allardyce has set up his side to frustrate Liverpool in their previous two encounters and even though this match is at home, he may look to do the same again in order to get a result. However, his side should attack more with the support of the crowd.

The previous two matches between the sides have been a little heated, but nothing compared to what we’ll see on Saturday as two fired-up sets of players go head-to-head. The Reds are favorites, but the real story of the match will be the number of cards shown.

This derby has produced more red cards than any other Premier League fixture, but we haven’t seen a dismissal since 2015-16. This edition will more than make up for it, with a couple of players letting the heat of the battle get the better of them.
