5. Crystal Palace get vital win at Bournemouth

Another relegation-threatened side, Crystal Palace, travel to Bournemouth on Saturday as they look to extend the gap between themselves and the bottom three.

Roy Hodgson knows his side are capable of competing with the better sides in the league — something they’ve shown in recent matches with Tottenham and Liverpool. The former England manager needs to get his team to play like that against the lesser teams, though.

Bournemouth were fortunate to get a 2-2 draw with Watford last week, after Jermain Defoe scored a 90th-minute equalizer, but Eddie Howe will be optimistic of a result at home against the Eagles.

Palace are a much better side when Wilfried Zaha is fit, and he should be able to do some damage against Bournemouth, who’s home form is among the worst in the Premier League.

A win for the Eagles could potentially see them rise as high as 14th place if results go their way. More importantly, it would be huge for Hodgson and his team’s belief in their battle to stay up. Expect a tight match here with Crystal Palace just scraping it 2-1.
