WWE WrestleMania 34: Preview and predictions

RAW Tag Team Championship Match: The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) vs. Braun Strowman and Mystery Partner

I fully understand why WWE has chosen to go this route for the RAW Tag Team Championship match in regards to how they’re handling Braun Strowman and his partner. By leaving his partner a mystery and teasing the fact that the Monster Among Men already knows who it will be, the company is creating the opportunity for a big surprise on the massive WrestleMania 34 stage, thus cultivating a sense of anticipation and curiosity around this match.

Thus, the first part of any prediction for this match simply comes down to trying to figure out who is going to be Strowman’s partner on Sunday night. Someone like the Big Show would be an obvious fit in terms of size because you could then bill them as a sort of new age Twin Towers. However, I think that the better fit for Strowman would be someone that fits with him more in terms of personality than in stature. Someone that fits that bill and that is not on the card in New Orleans would be one Samoa Joe. Subsequently, that’s my pick for who will be the mystery partner.

As good — yes, they’ve been good — as Sheamus and Cesaro have been as tag champs, it’s most certainly time to shake things up. Giving Strowman the tag belts with someone like Joe would be big-time for the division and for both guys. They would be a seemingly unstoppable force as champions, which would then create numerous opportunities for storylines moving forward.

Prediction: Samoa Joe returns, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe win
