Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins

Low-key, this could be one of the best matches on the show. Yes, I know that’s not exactly the hottest of takes considering that Finn Balor and Seth Rollins are largely considered to be two of the better in-ring workers in the entirety of WWE. What’s being overlooked, though, is just how good The Miz has been over the past year — and perhaps longer than that. There might not be a better pure heel in the company right now than the A-Lister, and he’s also producing some of his best in-ring work in his career.

It’s pretty easy to see how the majority of this match is going to play out, but the predictability of that shouldn’t lessen the quality by any means. Early on, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where Balor and Rollins don’t join forces to dispatch The Miz. That should then set up a nice little segment in the match where those two get to go at it and produce a little bit of magic. Then, The Miz should get back into the mix and have the upper hand for a while.

With this being a triple threat match as well, The Miztourage is sure to get involved. It would be interesting to see Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel turn on The Miz in this moment after somewhat teasing it two weeks ago on RAW, but I don’t think that happens here. Instead, I think they play a vital role in helping Miz stay ahead of his two challengers. And in the end, the Intercontinental Championship is going to stay with the A-Lister for the time being.

Prediction: The Miz retains
