After a successful WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34, the sky is the limit for Ronda Rousey in professional wrestling. What’s next for the former UFC star?

If you’ve been living under a rock when it comes to WWE action, Ronda Rousey finally made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 when she tagged with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

The match had a lot of hype surrounding it, solely based on whether or not Rousey would succeed as a professional wrestler after her dominant UFC career. Many try to make it work in a WWE ring with no positive results, but it doesn’t look like Rousey will be one of those cases after her match Sunday night.

Rousey crushed it all over the place in New Orleans, whether it was her entrance in “Rowdy” Roddy Piper gear, squaring up against Triple H or almost ripping McMahon’s arm out with an armbar. She was nearly perfect, with the right facial expressions and selling to make it all look like she’s been doing this for years.

Now, the question turns to what’s next for the former UFC champion? She got her first match out of the way and set high expectations for herself. There’s not much star power to work with in the women’s division right now, with the brands split up at the moment. She’ll obviously stay on RAW, where she can only do so much as a face.

As far as heels are concerned in the women’s division on Monday nights, Rousey really just has Alexa Bliss and Mickie James to work with until an inevitable Sasha Banks heel turn. The ideas with the most potential are a feud with Asuka to determine a contender for the RAW Women’s Championship, or a feud with Nia Jax for the belt right off the bat after both of their big victories Sunday night.

The other possibility comes with another “Superstar Shake-Up”, which could provide some fun matches for Monday nights. Charlotte is obviously the most intriguing option to work with in all of WWE at the moment, and you have to believe they’ll set that up as a WrestleMania 35 main event for next year in New York.

The future is bright, but time will tell whether Rousey gets used full-time and squares off against everyone and anyone RAW has to offer, or if she gets the Brock Lesnar treatment and has one or two opponents every few months.
