Relive the 5 best moments from WrestleMania 34
5. Seth Rollins opens the show by becoming a Grand Slam champion
Seth Rollins has begun his ascension to possibly becoming the next Mr. WrestleMania, considering the impressive performances he’s put on once the WWE equivalent to the Super Bowl comes around.
It’s tough for things to get better than Rollins’ Money in the Bank cash-in on Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31, but he tried his best in his match as the “Kingslayer” last year with Triple H. This year? He turned into a Game of Thrones character as he channeled his inner “Night King” with blue eyes and some winter-inspired gear.
As if things couldn’t get even cooler, Rollins was competing for a shot to become a Grand Slam champion Sunday night in the triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz and Finn Balor. He definitely won the battle of the entrances, but things got even better as he took home the spiffy white belt to kick off WrestleMania 34.
In my personal favorite moment, solely for the WrestleMania nostalgia, Rollins dusted off his patented title celebration after the match when he spun the belt around his head like a boss.
Rollins has an obvious bright future ahead of him, especially once the Universal title picture clears up for good. He could be transitioning over to SmackDown LIVE soon, or he’ll attempt to take the Intercontinental title to new heights on RAW once the NXT call-ups and returns happen on the RAW after WrestleMania.
Either way, Rollins kicked off the show perfectly, and it only makes sense for him to kick off this list of the show’s best moments.
