3) The defense is playoff caliber

Last year, the Bills had the 15th-most efficient defense despite have the 10th-hardest schedule for a defense to face. They have the ability to rush the passer and cover well on the back end. The aforementioned Tre’Davious White was outstanding last year and has the ability to cover the No. 1 option on any team. While he is doing this, Micah Hyde can cover tight ends who are becoming increasingly involved in offenses.

They held the Jaguars to 10 points in the first round of last year’s playoffs only for the offense to score a meager three points. All the offense needed was a touchdown and field goal more and the Bills were playing the New England Patriots in the second round. For a team who considered breaking it all down and starting Nathan Peterman halfway through the season, that would be a successful campaign.

The defense is ready to go again. They helped carry a well below-average offense to the playoffs last year and cannot be wasted. Don’t make your defense feel the need to hold opposing teams to 10 or less points per game. Go get a quarterback so that the efforts of your defense won’t be for nothing.
