FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup – April 10, 2018
Shortstop, High End Spend
Trea Turner, $4,500
.417/.462/.750 with 1 HR in 12 at-bats
He’s at the top of the price range yet again, but the spot for Turner is juicy once again as he’s done very well against Braves starts Mike Foltynewicz. Something that will need to be monitored is where Turner is batting in the order tonight. He’s been bouncing all over the place and if he’s lower in the order, the price tag is a little harder to stomach. If he’s batting leadoff again, we’re in business despite the price. As always, his stolen base upside is immense every single night. Turner is far better against righties with an OPS over .870 and a wOBA of .370.
Also Consider – Trevor Story, $4,100
Mid-Range
Elvis Andrus, $3,500
.438/.550/.638 with 1 HR in 16 at-bats
For whatever reason, Andrus has always had major success when he faces of against lefty Tyler Skaggs. He is on the better side of his platoon splits, which has something to do with it. Andrus carries a higher average, OPS and wOBA vs lefties in his career and he should be able to rack up some points tonight. It always feels just a little safer to play guys like Andrus. You likely aren’t getting a home run but he contributes to so many categories, you don’t need it to see success.
Also Consider – Paul DeJong, $3,100
Value
Scott Kingery, $2,900
0 at-bats vs Homer Bailey
The young prospect for the Phillies has bee performing pretty well as of late, putting the skills that earned him a big contract before the season started on display. His average isn’t sky high yet but he did hit his first home run of his young career last night. In his last six starts, he’s hit double digit FanDuel points in five of them. He now gets a tantalizing matchup tonight and his price hasn’t quite caught up with his production. A Phillies stack could be in order or you can just ride with the one off of Kingery.
