San Jose Sharks

Evander Kane will lead the Sharks in goals, assists, and points

Evander Kane has been such a great fit with the San Jose Sharks since coming over from the Buffalo Sabres at the NHL trade deadline. He’s almost been a different player since joining San Jose. Kane had nine goals and 14 points in 17 games with the Sharks in the regular season. That definitely bodes well for the Sharks going into the playoffs, and he’s going to be their points leader for however long they’re in the postseason.

Kane can produce at even strength or on the power play — it doesn’t really matter. He’s also making a great case for general manager Doug Wilson to re-sign him even though it seemed like at the time he was acquired to be a rental. Overall, Kane had 29 goals this season, and when he gets going in the playoffs, the Sharks could be a very dangerous team.

Not only will Kane lead his team in points, but he could come out of the postseason near the top of all players in that category, as well.
