Sample Lineup

P – Gerrit Cole

C/1B – Jesus Aguilar

2B – Ian Kinsler

3B – Anthony Rendon

SS – Jordy Mercer

OF – Jackie Bradley, Hernan Perez, Mookie Betts

Utility – Carlos Correa

Right off the bat, I can’t get away from riding the Cole Train once again. The Texas lineup is banged up quite a bit, especially with shortstop Elvis Andrus being injured. Maybe Cole just doesn’t have the good stuff tonight but I sure seems like an awesome match on paper. The next step is to take advantage of the Brewers facing a lefty. Both Aguilar and Perez have very solid career numbers against south paws and are dirt cheap. This is going to help us fit Cole and two other big bats. Kinsler and Rendon both are probably just a bit too cheap given their matchup. Jordy Mercer is a great value facing a poor lefty, then we get two pieces of the Red Sox offense against gas can Chris Tillman. Lastly, I’m going to side with Correa’s numbers vs lefties more than his record against Cole Hamels. Hopefully, both Brewers players are in the lineup and everything works out. Even if it turns out that the Brewers go a different direction, there’s value to be had elsewhere that we shouldn’t need to shake up the core of the lineup too badly.

Stacks to Consider – Red Sox(vs. Baltimore), Astros(vs. Texas), Pirates(at Miami), Angels(at Kansas City), and Yankees(at Detroit)
