Spurs-Warriors (Game 1)

High Salary (Spurs)

LaMarcus Aldridge ($10,200): Aldridge is the only high salary player available for San Antonio. That just goes to show you the lack of reliability and big-game players the Spurs have on their roster. The Warriors will do everything in their power to limit the scoring of Aldridge, but he was a monster to finish the season. He averaged 49.6 fantasy points in four games against Golden State in the regular season. Being the only option in a rough offense and not being a dynamic player like Aldridge makes him a slight risk. ****

High Salary (Warriors)

Kevin Durant ($10,900): Durant delivered more often than not as the first option with Steph Curry out. Durant has enough firepower around him to where he can still get his numbers without being completely neutralized. The Warriors offense isn’t as good without Curry, but Durant can be counted upon to have a big game. *****

Draymond Green ($7,000): Green’s game doesn’t always translate to fantasy, but his value against the Spurs is noticeable. He plays plenty of minutes as he’s the best option to shutdown Aldridge. He can put up numbers in all categories and is a solid bet to at least hit value. ****

High Value (Spurs)

Dejounte Murray ($6,300): Murray played well in two games as a starter against the Warriors this season. He even provided valuable minutes off the bench last season in the playoffs against the Warriors. He’ll get the minutes to produce, but his salary is a bit much and he’s not exactly reliable. **

Kyle Anderson ($5,300): Anderson typically logs big minutes as he’s the best defender on Durant. He was over 40 fantasy points in three of four games against the Warriors in the regular season. His defense can give Golden State fits, and while he’s not a big scorer, he provides solid numbers in all categories. He’s a more reliable option than Murray given his lower salary. ***

High Value (Warriors)

Klay Thompson ($6,500): As a secondary scorer, they don’t get much better than Thompson. He wasn’t great against the Spurs this season, but with San Antonio likely look to takeaway Durant, Thompson should find himself getting more shots. You know he’s going to get his points and he’ll chip in with defense. ***

Quinn Cook ($6,400): Cook will get plenty of minutes alongside Durant and Thompson, which should be good for his value. He’s not Curry, but he can hit open shots if thing else. They’ll need him to step up to take a little pressure off of Durant. He’ll get his chances. **

Role Players

Spurs: Manu Ginoboli, Tony Parker and Pau Gasol are longtime favorites who may have a big playoff performance left in them. But counting on them would be a mistake. Rudy Gay may see more minutes as the Spurs could use his scoring. Patty Mills will get his chances as a starter, but struggled against the Warriors in the regular season.

Warriors: Shaun Livingston will play solid minutes off the bench and could receive more minutes if Cook underperforms. Andre Iguodala will obviously see minutes as the Warriors go small. Kevon Looney ended the season strong while David West could be a low cost option who overdelivers.
