With the playoffs already upon us, let’s take a quick break and look back at the top individual performances of the the 2017-2018 NBA Season.

After one set of NBA playoff games we’ve already seen some awesome individual efforts. James Harden continued his relentless quest to prove he’s the best player in the league with a 44 points against the Timberwolves. Anthony Davis, another MVP candidate, poured in 35 in a gutsy victory against the Blazers, while Paul George canned eight 3-pointers as the Thunder dispatched the Jazz.

As we fiendishly await more playoff basketball in the coming days though, let’s take a quick look back at some of the top performances from the regular season. The stars of the league did not disappoint this year. Every few days we seemed to have some ridiculous performance, or see some record shattered. Before we start the countdown… a bunch of honorable mentions that were brutally tough omissions:

Anthony Davis vs. the Suns: 53 points, 18 rebounds, 5 blocks. Sincere apologies to the Brow. He’ll probably finish second or third in MVP voting but didn’t crack the top five performances, despite routinely destroying opponents and posting mind boggling statistics.

LeBron James vs. the Wolves: 37 points, 11 rebounds, 15 assists

Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. the Nets: 41 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists

Karl-Anthony Towns vs. the Hawks: 56 points, 15 rebounds

Damian Lillard vs. the Warriors: 50 points, 8 3-point field goals

C.J. McCollum vs. the Bulls: 50 points in 29 minutes

DeMarcus Cousins vs. the Bulls: 43 points, 23 rebounds, 10 assists

Steph Curry vs. the Grizzlies: 38 points, 10 3-point field goals in 29 minutes

DeMar DeRozan vs. the Bucks: 52 points, 5 3-point field goals (take 5 from the mid-range king!)

And without further delay here are the top five individual games of the season:
