5. Stephen Curry vs. Celtics, 1/27/18

Notable Stats: 49 points, eight 3-point field goals

Nagging injuries have caused an otherwise epic season from Steph to go somewhat unheralded. During January in particular he lit the world on fire during a ridiculous 12 game stretch. In that period Curry averaged an absurd 29.5 points on 17 shots per game, while nailing five 3-point bombs per game. He capped off the month by eviscerating the Celtics in a hotly contested prime time matchup to the tune of 49 points and eight makes from beyond the arc.

This was a vintage Steph heat check, in which he caught fire from deep and showed off some crazy finishes at the rim. He also cooked Boston’s bigs on switches, another Curry trademark. Steph was the driving force behind the Warriors scorching the league’s stingiest defense for 109 points on a 114 offensive rating. He shot 16 of 24 from the floor and 8 of 11 from deep, while dishing five assists and committing only one turnover. Steph then sealed the game with a deep shot in transition and an and-one in the last two minutes of the game.
