4. Leicester 2015-16

Leicester’s fairy tale season comes in fourth place, although if it was a table based on surprise factor, this one would be top. Having just completed one of the greatest relegation escapes in Premier League history, the Foxes were favorites to go down after a turbulent summer. They ended up doing quite the opposite.

Guided by Claudio Ranieri, Leicester embarked on a 5,000-1 title challenge, and ended up shocking the world to win their first league title in 132 years. Outside of the shock and underdog story, this Leicester side really do hold their own with the big boys, winning the league by a comfortable 10 points and only losing three times all season.

Jamie Vardy was among the top scorers alongside Harry Kane and Sergio Augero, and Riyad Marhez won the Player of Year award. Despite starting off shaky at the back, only two sides in the  league finished with a better defensive record than the champions. The Foxes deserve a place on the list on merit, as well as being the biggest underdog story in sporting history.
