2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Allen heads to Browns
By Brad Weiss
The Arizona Cardinals need a quarterback, especially after Carson Palmer decided to retire after the 2017 season. The organization did go out and sign Sam Bradford to a two-year deal, worth a lot of money, but how often does he stay on the field. With the No. 15 overall pick, Arizona should look to bring in one of these quarterback prospects, and Lamar Jackson could still be waiting.
Jackson won the Heisman Trophy during the 2016 season, and some believe he played even better last season. However, he has a stigma around him heading into this draft, and some scouts do not believe that he is a quarterback at the next level. I, for one, think that is absolute garbage, and whoever does draft him will be happy they did.
He is a born leader, and the Cardinals do have some talent coming back next season. David Johnson missed most of last year with an injury, and Larry Fitzgerald is holding off on retiring for another season. The organization also has a new head coach in Steven Wilks, so the 2018 season will certainly be an interesting one in the desert.
