2018 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Allen heads to Browns
By Brad Weiss
The Philadelphia Eagles shocked everybody when they beat the New England Patriots with backup quarterback Nick Foles under center in the Super Bowl this past February. As they head into the 2018 NFL Draft, they look to once again be a favorite to win it all this season. While Foles took over for the injured Carson Wentz late in the regular season, Wentz should be back at some point in 2018, giving the team two solid options at quarterback.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles have some holes to fill prior to next season. They were able to get good push last season up front, but their lack of depth is something that should be addressed during the 2018 NFL Draft. One player who could make an immediate impact is Maurice Hurst, who some believe to be the best defensive tackle in this draft class.
Next: Gronk's absence, Dez's release and more
Hurst is going to be a solid player at the next level, and the Eagles definitely need some help up front on defense. The heart issue is a thing of the past, and he may even go higher in the first round. However, if teams are scared off, and he is available this late in round one, he would be an absolute steal.
