player. 46. . Offensive Guard. Notre Dame. Quenton Nelson. 6

The Indianapolis Colts traded down to pick at No. 6, as they sent the third overall selection to the New York Jets. With no need to select a quarterback, the Colts should focus the sixth selection to the offensive line. When it comes to offensive linemen in this draft class, there is no better prospect than the big offensive guard from the University of Notre Dame.

The tape on Quenton Nelson is pretty incredible, and the Colts need to finally make some moves to protect Andrew Luck. Coming off offseason shoulder surgery last year, Luck never made it back to play in the regular season, as the team was forced to roll with Jacoby Brissett. Luck is apparently going to be ready to go next season, so grabbing a player like Nelson has to be considered a priority this early in round one.

It is not often that guards go in the top-10, but Nelson is a special player. This Colts team can win games if they can keep Luck on the field, and Nelson would help them do just that. Indianapolis may decide to trade down once again as teams try to come up into the top of the first round to get a signal-caller, but if they stay at No. 6, they could get the best overall player in this draft class in Nelson.
