Shortstop, High End Spend

Dansby Swanson, $3,500

.143/.400/.143 with 0 HR in 7 at-bats

If you want to attack Harvey heavily tonight, Swanson should definitely be an option for you. Swanson is likely due some regression against right handed pitching because he’s got a .368 average, .961 OPS, and a .417 wOBA. Those are well above his career normal levels and he’s not making a ton of hard contact. It’s also worth talking about how Freddie Freeman might not play tonight. He took a pitch to the hand last night and could sit. If he doesn’t play, the Braves stack becomes a lot less appealing but Swanson or Albies could still be a one off play.

Also Consider – Zack Cozart, $3,800

Mid-Range

Nick Ahmed, $2,700

1.000/.000/1.000

Ahmed is certainly at a reasonable price tag tonight and it’s hard to get away from a three man Diamondbacks stack this evening. I don’t think I’ll go a full four man stack because Ty Blach is good at generating ground balls. However, shortstop isn’t hugely appealing in the middle of the road this evening. Ahmed hasn’t gotten things going against lefties so far this season but he does have very good career numbers, including a .320 wOBA and a .275 average. He does have a little bit of pop and Blach isn’t the most intimidating matchup.

Aslo Consider – Eduardo Nunez, $3,400

Value

Orlando Arcia, $2,400

.500/.500/.500 with 0 HR in 2 at-bats

Arcia certainly has not shown a whole lot at the major league level and so far in his career, he’s been a reverse splits player. This is more an attack on the fact Dillon Peters has a chance to get blown up this evening and Arcia is always a threat to steal a base if he can get on. Any type of walk or hit and a stolen base pays off his salary fairly easily and he could be part of a Brewers stack this evening.
