FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – April 20, 2018
High Salary C
Al Horford ($8,300): Horford has hit value in both games and his salary has gone up to where he needs 33.7 fantasy points to reach value. Given his play in the first two games, that’s still doable for the veteran. This is a young Celtics squad and being on the road could lead to some inconsistent play. I’m not sure Milwaukee is the team to really test that, but if they are, Boston will lean heavily on Horford. And he’ll deliver. ****
High Value C
Myles Turner ($6,000): Turner was just under value in Game 2 with 21 fantasy points. Despite this, his salary has gone up to where he needs 24.4 fantasy points to hit value in Game 3. Given his inconsistent play all season, that seems a bit too rich for my taste. He’s been better than expected this series, but there is better value underneath him. **
Jonas Valanciuas ($6,000): That better value comes in the form of Valanciunas, who delivered 40.3 fantasy points in Game 2. The Wizards might be able to play him off the court with a small ball lineup, but that could backfire if Valanciunas bullies them in the paint and on the glass. And if the Wizards don’t go small, he’ll dominate Marcin Gortat. ***
Greg Monroe ($4,300): Monroe played 17 minutes in Game 2, finishing with 20.8 fantasy points. If he gets playing time, he’s good for at least 20 fantasy points. But he only got more playing time in Game 2 because the Celtics put the game away early. The production can be there and the matchup is good, but he can’t produce if he doesn’t get his warmups off. **
