NFL predictions: Rams, 49ers class of NFC West
By David Ruiz
Seattle Seahawks
The Legion of Boom more-or-less came to an end with the departure of Richard Sherman and Michael Bennett. Not to mention, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor have battled significant injuries the past few seasons.
More importantly, how long can the Seahawks rely on Russell Wilson to bail them out? No running game, shaky O-line, and Jimmy Graham is gone. It started with them missing the playoffs last season, and their window is barely open.
An improved NFC West will also play a huge part in their success, and the Seahawks could be looking up at a number of teams all season.
Home Opponents: Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings.
Away Opponents: Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders.
Next: NFL Mock Draft: Lamar Jackson to Baltimore Ravens
The Seahawks don’t have the easiest of schedules awaiting them in 2018. They’re tied with the Cleveland Browns and Rams as the fifth-toughest schedule. Those teams went 134-122 with .523 winning percentage based off last season. Although only Carolina, Kansas City, Los Angeles and Minnesota qualifying from the playoffs.
Prediction: 9-7
With as many weaknesses the Seahawks have on both sides of the ball, it’s easy to assume they’ll struggle in 2018. Even at .500 or over, the Seahawks — for the first time in awhile — will be looking near the bottom of the division. Wilson can’t do everything for you, Seattle.
