25 TV Dads that would make elite MLB managers
Hal Wilkerson
Hal Wilkerson is just a big kid at heart. He likes not being a parent, smashing things, and not being parents. Giving this man the responsibilities of managing a MLB team probably isn’t the best idea in the world. He hasn’t proven himself to be capable of handling four kids. How is he going to handle a 40-man roster?
He couldn’t. He’d fail. But that’s ok. Not every manager succeeds. I know the title of this article is “25 television dads who would make elite MLB managers” but sometimes, things just don’t work out. You hire Ted Williams, one of the greatest hitters of all-time, to be your manager. And it turns out, he’s just not very good.
In theory, Wilkerson has some good managerial qualities. People like him and he has a creative flare. But there’s no way he could control a clubhouse. It would be the wild west with him at the helm. Unless Lois steps in.
Best Fit: Chicago Cubs
The Cubs aren’t the lovable losers they were three years ago. In fact, they are kind of an annoying powerhouse.
By turning the team over to Hal, we can bring back that lovable loser quality. People will remember why they fell in love with the Cubs in the first place. They’ll forget about these past couple of seasons when they won over 90 games and won the World Series. Hal will remind fans of a simpler time when the team lost constantly or got so close, but couldn’t close the deal.
We’re going to make the Cubs losers again.
