3. RW Mikael Granlund

Granlund was second on the Wild in points this season (67) and third in goals (21), but he mostly disappeared in the first-round playoff loss to the Winnipeg Jets with six shots on goal during the five games.

Granlund has teased everyone with nice production for Team Finland in international competitions, including 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in the 2016 World Championships and seven points (three goals, four assists) in the 2014 Sochi Olympics as Finland went home with a bronze medal. But he’s never quite delivered that way against NHL competition over a full season, as one of the biggest symbols of Minnesota’s underachievement in the playoffs.

With youth (26) and a reasonable remainder of a contract ($12 million over the next two seasons), Granlund practically defines what a tradeable asset is for the Wild this offseason. It might be hard to pull the trigger, but a new general manager won’t be sentimentally tied to Granlund in the way Fletcher was.
