The Spurs extended their first-round matchup against the Warriors with a key Game 4 victory. In the process, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker became the winningest duo in NBA Playoff history.

The San Antonio Spurs breathed new life into their season by winning Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors, 103-90. The Warriors missed out on a possible sweep, while the Spurs saved face to make the series 3-1. But in the process, the Spurs also made history. Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker are currently the longest-tenured Spurs. As of yesterday (April 22), they are the NBA’s winningest duo in playoff history. The duo’s 132nd win passed Parker’s and Tim Duncan’s win total (131) and also Ginobili’s and Duncan total (126), according to ESPN.

"Manu Ginobili has now done that twice and has earned win No. 132, giving him and Tony Parker the most playoff wins together of any teammates in NBA history.“Of course, the feeling of the last quarter was great because we were all doing good,” Ginobili said after scoring 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting to help San Antonio defeat the Warriors 103-90 and force Game 5 on Tuesday in Oakland, California.“We were all fired up, and we saw we were in a great situation to get that win when we needed it,” Ginobili said. “Now, we have a few hours to feel good about this win, and tomorrow, we’ll start thinking about Game 5.”"

The win total represents just how important the two players will always be to the Spurs success. The duo isn’t the biggest or fastest, and certainly not young anymore. But they have made up for their lack of basketball gifts with an excellent feel for the game matched with their skill. Longevity has defined this Spurs dynasty as much as anything else. Parker and Ginobili are now the face of that.
