3. JJ Watt

Not only has JJ Watt been the face of the Houston Texans the last few years, but many see him as the face of the NFL as well. His involvement in the community, especially after the disaster of Hurricane Harvey, has made him one of the most loved athletes in all of sports.

He’s fun to watch on the field. He’s animated, energetic and brings a level of intensity to the game that is hardly matched. But think about this for a minute. We’re well into the offseason. Imagine you’re a Texans fan for a minute. What would you do if your star player woke up tomorrow morning and unfollowed DeAndre Hopkins? Or Will Fuller? Or the Texans official team page?

His may simply be taking a break from social media. It may all be nothing. But if you’re one of the most recognizable athletes in sports, the star of your team and beloved in your community, and you wipe your follow list of people connected to the team you play for, there’s going to be a reaction. If Watt went full Julio, the Texans fanbase could hardly be blamed for freaking out.
