Heat-Sixers (Sixers Lead 3-1)
I love the Sixers in this game. They survived what I think was Miami’s best shot in Game 4, they’re back in Philadelphia, and the home crowd is going to go crazy for Joel Embiid’s first playoff game. Philadelphia has proven that they can run away with this thing when they get rolling. I expect them to roll in Game 5.
That means load up on Sixers. You can build around Embiid as your center or grab the reliable Ben Simmons and build around him. Dario Saric will have a bounce back game, J.J. Redick and Marco Belinelli should provide their usual numbers. You can always pair them at shooting guard. It’s a money saving option that has paid off more often than not since Belinelli has joined the team.
If you’re looking for Miami players, Hassan Whiteside actually played in Game 4 and played well. But will it happen again? That’s a risk you’re running when it comes to Whiteside and Kelly Olynyk, who barely got off the bench in Game 4. James Johnson is the guy getting consistent minutes, which means he’s the player you should be looking at as a frontcourt option for Miami.
The backcourt is a different issue due to the unknown status of Josh Richardson. If he doesn’t play, Goran Dragic, Dwyane Wade, and Justise Winslow will be the three guys who will benefit the most. Wade and Dragic has been solid this series. Winslow has been up-and-down, but they’ll need his versatility if Richardson doesn’t play.
