2018 NFL Draft tracker and instant grades
56. New England Patriots: Duke Dawson, CB, Florida
After losing Malcolm Butler in free agency, the Patriots had to add another corner at some point in hte first two days of the draft. Bill Belichick does that right here with Dawson, who ran a 4.46 40-yard dash at the combine.
Grade: C+
57. Oakland Raiders: P.J. Hall, DT, Sam Houston State
The Raiders needed defensive help in the worst way, and they hope to have gotten some in FCS talent, P.J. Hall. Last year, the 308-pounder racked up 5.5 sacks and should give support against the run on the interior of Oakland’s line.
Grade: C
58. Atlanta Falcons: Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado
Oliver can play a ton of press-man coverage, but also has the athleticism to drop and play in some off-man and zone concepts. Look for the Falcons to replace Jalen Collins with Oliver, the former of which couldn’t stay out of trouble.
Grade: A
59. Washington Redskins: Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
The fall finally stops for Guice, who many thought could go in the mid-first round range. The Redskins need some help behind Alex Smith, and Guice should provide plenty of that. At LSU, he churned out a pair of 1,000-yard seasons. However, the person is a major concern.
Grade: A-
60. Pittsburgh Steelers: James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State
The Steelers dealt Martavis Bryant on Thursday night, and they didn’t wait long to replace him. Washington can get down the field, and after winning the Biletnikoff Award in 2017, his talents shouldn’t be questioned. Nice job here.
