By Adam Stocker
The Vegas Golden Knights host the San Jose Sharks in Game 2 of the Pacific Division Final. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.
The Vegas Golden Knights scored seven goals in their first-round sweep of the Los Angeles Kings. The Golden Knights matched their seven-goal total in the first game against the San Jose Sharks, winning 7-0. Vegas will look to keep their perfect playoff record going in Game 2.
Marc-Andre Fleury has been the best player in the playoffs. The Vegas goalie has three shutouts in five games, stopping 160 fo 163 shots. As long as Fleury is on fire, the Golden Knights will keep winning. Offensively, Reilly Smith, Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson each had three points in Game 1. In the first five games of the playoffs, the trio has combined for 16 points.
After a dominant first round against Anaheim, San Jose goalie Martin Jones got lit up in Game 1. Vegas scored three goals in a 91-second stretch and a four-goal first period. Pete DeBoer pulled Jones after allowing a fifth goal earlier in the second period. Aaron Dell came in but wasn’t much better, allowing two more goals. The Sharks need Jones to bounce back if they are going to even the series at one game apiece.

Evander Kane is scheduled to have a hearing with NHL’s Department of Player Safety for his cross-check on Pierre-Edouard Bellemare on Friday. While it is unlikely that he will be suspended, it is a possibility. However, the Sharks could be getting Joe Thornton back for Game 2 from a knee injury.
