With four games remaining in the Premier League season, Huddersfield are still fighting for their position in the league next season. The Terriers are six points ahead of Southampton and the relegation zone. On Saturday, Huddersfield host Everton, who are ninth in the table.
Huddersfield defeated Watford 1-0 last weekend. Tom Ince scored in the 91st minute to help the Terriers pick up all three points. Huddersfield have four points in their last two games but only five points in their last six games. The Terriers have scored the fewest goals in the Premier League this season and have the second worst goal differential this season. However, it might not matter. Another win for Huddersfield and a Southampton loss could be enough for the Terriers to stay up.
Everton have gone on a late-season run. The Toffees have 11 points in their last six games. While Everton have scored 40 goals this season, their defense struggled. The Toffees have allowed 54 goals this season. Only four clubs have allowed more goals. Offensively, Wayne Rooney has a team-best 10 goals this season. However, Rooney has not scored since Dec. 23. Sam Allardyce moved Rooney further back in the formation when Everton signed Cenk Tosun in the winter transfer window. Tosun has scored four goals in 11 games for Everton.
