Vegas Golden Knights: Deryk Engelland

Vegas is playing in only the second series in its team’s history, but Deryk Engelland has the beard of a seasoned playoff veteran. Engelland, like many, got a head start on his face-salad, sporting the look since training camp. But as he said in an interview that he would let it keep growing come playoff time. From the looks of it, he’ll be growing that beard for a while.

The Knights have seemingly jump started a team that was written off at the star of the season into a team that is now in the Stanley Cup conversation. They aren’t waiting around for success or “trusting the process.” They just decided they would be good immediately.

Why not treat the playoff beard the same way? Deryk Engelland is already rocking an all-time playoff beard, and the Golden Knights are steamrolling their way through teams (and closed-minded bettors) at a torrid pace.

The Knights also have the support of a well-known bearded home-town beauty, Bryce Harper. The Washington Nationals outfielder is pretty intense on the baseball field, so it comes as no surprise that he is the type of fan who wears a hockey helmet in his living room to watch his hometown Knights play.

Harper looks like an NHL veteran half way through a Stanley Cup run. True hockey guy.
