MILWAUKEE, WI – APRIL 22: Christian Yelich #22 and Lorenzo Cain #6 of the Milwaukee Brewers celebrate with teammates after Yelich hit a home run in the fourth inning against the Miami Marlins at Miller Park on April 22, 2018 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images) /

Sample Lineup Number One

P – Eduardo Rodriguez

C/1B – Willson Contreras

2B – Jose Altuve

3B – Alex Bregman

SS – Addison Russell

OF – Rhys Hoskins, Albert Almora, Alex Verdugo

Utility – joey Votto

This lineup looks like a lot of fun and it might feel fairly safe for cash games. While I believe it still is, there is risk involved. It has no Brewers whatsoever, who are going to be the chalk on this slate. If they go off and this offense doesn’t it could live you out of the money in a hurry. The Cubs are in just as good a spot as the Brewers and players might see Greinke and run but as we discussed, he can’t get lefties out so far this season. A little piece of the Astros offense against this version of Sonny Gray should be relatively low-owned as well. Joey Votto is so hard to leave off this lineup given his current form and his matchup this evening.

Sample Lineup Number Two

P – Jake Arrieta

C/1B – Joey Votto

2B – Joey Wendle

3B – Daniel Robertson

SS – Scott Kingery

OF – Alex Verdugo, Ryan Braun, Rhys Hoskins

Utility – Jesus Aguilar

This lineup is likely a bit chalkier as I suspect Arrieta will be popular and it gets a bigger piece of the Brewers and Reds offense. Verdugo and Hoskins stay the same while we replace the mini Astro stack with a mini Rays stack. I’m not sure I want to get too locked into the Brewers and just ride the wave with everyone else tonight. We’ll see how the day goes but I might actually prefer the first lineup even with a little more “risk” baked in.

Stacks To Consider – Brewers(at Cincinnati), Astros(vs New York), Reds(vs Milwaukee, lefty bats only), Cubs(vs Colorado) and Red Sox(vs Kansas City)
