Warriors-Pelicans (Warriors Lead 2-0)

Steph Curry is back and the Pelicans are in trouble. I covered everyone on the Warriors who will get playing time, except Shaun Livingston. He’s a decent backup point guard option and gets playing time.

Nikola Mirotic and Jrue Holiday were the two players left out on the Pelicans. I haven’t liked Mirotic all series, but he did look better in Game 2. Maybe being at home propels him to a big game. But this matchup simply isn’t favorable. As for Holiday, there’s nothing wrong with him, I just believe there’s more value in the other guards. Holiday played well in Game 2, but was a non-factor in Game 1. The Warriors will make sure he’s not the guy to beat them. If you’re looking for a “role player who plays better at home” option, Darius Miller might be worth a look. But there’s nothing guaranteed with him or anyone off the New Orleans bench.

Rockets-Jazz (Series Tied 1-1)

The Jazz got big contributions from their bench in Game 2. Can Alec Burks and Dante Exum play at that level again? They’re at home, which helps. But it seems like a tough task. The best thing they did was move Donovan Mitchell into the Ricky Rubio role. Jae Crowder is once again someone you can get plenty of value from. If Rubio plays, Burks and Royce O’Neale become less valuable.

Chris Paul is a guy you can get easy value from at his salary. He’s always a candidate to have a big game as well. Trevor Ariza has been disappointing this series, and while I usually love him, your best bet is to stay away.
