19. Philadelphia Flyers: C/W Isac Lundestrom

Isac Lundestrom won’t blow past anyone with blinding speed, but he is a talented skater. He has powerful strides that make him hard to knock off of the puck. Add that with the fact he enjoys playing a physical game makes him a nightmare for defensemen his age. Not only is he a grinder he can score. He has a good shot, definitely not the best in the draft but good. It would help his overall game if he used his shot more. He uses his physical still of play to help him in all three zones of the ice. He is responsible on defense and creates plenty of turnovers.

As he grows he will need to adjust to a higher level of play. He dominated at the junior level but showed some growing pains in his professional level. As he looks to take the next step into North American hockey he will face another learning curve. The North American game is a much different and more demanding style of play. Lundestrom has the talent to make it but it will be more of a project piece.

The Philadelphia Flyers have a good stable of forwards in the NHL right now so there is no rush to get him into the lineup right away. As he develops he can grow into a center or a winger. He could match up in the future and end up on the wing of a line with Nolan Patrick and Travis Konecny. This would give the Flyers a dominant line of the future.
