Rory McIlroy ($11,600)
We all know what McIlroy is capable of when he’s at his best, but the issue early in the season was that he wasn’t in that form. As of late, though, he’s been close. He’s not finished worse that T16 in his last three tournaments, which includes a win at the Arnold Palmer and a T5 at The Masters.

Jason Day ($11,400)
Coming off a win at the Wells Fargo, Jason Day seems to be in quite good form. He has two wins and a T2 among his last five finishes and hasn’t finished outside the top 25 yet in 2018. THE PLAYERS isn’t necessarily the best course for him, but he’s in good enough form to be worth the play.

Jordan Spieth ($11,100)
Having not played since The Masters worries me slightly, but Spieth is still one of the world’s best and has played well this season, finishing third at Augusta and T3 in the Houston Open the weekend before. If he’s on the course, he’s a threat to win.

Justin Thomas ($10,800)
A brutal third round from Thomas last year at TPC Sawgrass saw him be a post-third round cut, but he’s still one of the best in the world. He’s yet to finish outside of the top 25 in any tournament he’s played this year and is yet another player on this tier that can win whenever he plays.

Dustin Johnson ($10,300)
Even at this price, DJ seems like solid value here given his level of play. His worst finish in 2018 is a highly profitable T16 and he’s seemingly always in the mix, or at least finds his way into the mix, near the top of the leaderboard. This could be a nice top-tier play.
