FIRST BASEMEN

There is plenty to like about Wednesday’s options at first base, especially in the top tier.

Albeit a small sample size, Eric Hosmer ($4,100) is worth a look. He is 5 for 7 lifetime against Gio Gonzalez with two home runs and five walks. Hosmer is on pace to set a personal best in ISO at .222 this season.

Hanley Ramirez ($4,000) has struggled lately, averaging 5.5 DKFP over his last 10 games but a long ball against Tanaka could be in store. HanRam is 6 for 26 lifetime against Tanaka with three home runs, which makes him a prime GPP target.

Can Matt Adams ($4,600) really keep this hot streak up? He has seven home runs over his last eight games, in which he’s averaging 18.5 DKFP per game. It’s hard not to ride the hot bat, as he was only owned by 3.73 percent in the tournament I played, but lifetime against lefties his ISO is down to .157 and BABIP .251.

TOP TIER

Paul Goldschmidt ($4,400), vs. Alex Wood

Goldschmidt’s power numbers against southpaws are still very good. This season alone he has a .325 ISO and 179 wRC+ against them. Lifetime against Alex Wood he has three home runs, six RBI and four walks.

Others: Matt Adams ($4,600), Eric Hosmer ($4,100), Hanley Ramirez ($4,000)

VALUE

Ryan Zimmerman ($3,500), vs. Joey Lucchesi

Zimmerman has hit left-handed pitchers better this season with a .235 ISO and .296 BABIP. He’s also been better on the road.

Others: Ryon Healy ($3,800), C.J. Cron ($3,400)
