After a long run, Jurassic Park: The Ride is ending later this year and being revamped into Jurassic World. This could be good or bad.

Throughout the years, we’ve seen Universal Studios, both in Hollywood and Orlando, make some big changes. This is in regards to the theme park attractions, of course. There’s the classic Back to the Future ride being replaced with The Simpsons Ride. Other changes include the King Kong ride being changed into Revenge of the Mummy, Twister….Ride it Out into Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, and so on. Now, Entertainment Weekly reports the next big change will happen at Universal Studios Hollywood with Jurassic Park: The Ride.

We love this ride, and it’s pretty sad we’ll have to see it go. On the bright side, however, it doesn’t seem like a complete change. In fact, it’s more of an upgrade for a new generation, which could turn out alright. We see how beneficial it has been to The Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster in Islands of Adventure in Orlando. You can also say the same about Revenge of the Mummy, which is far better than the original King Kong ride.

We’re still a bit skeptical, though. The Simpsons Ride isn’t bad, but it’s not nearly as good, nor as iconic as Back to the Future: The Ride. The Jaws ride is another classic. Transformers: The Ride 3D is basically a copy of The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, only not nearly as good.

We have every reason to have our doubts. Then again, from what we’re seeing, it could turn out great if done correctly. Check out the video below:

Check out the statement below as well:

"‘This next-generation thrill ride will be a fully reimagined iteration of the groundbreaking adventure, elevating every facet of the experience,’ a press release says of the new attraction, called Jurassic World Ride. ‘With the introduction of never-before-seen dinosaurs, enhanced storytelling, lush scenic design, an entirely new color scheme, and uncompromised state-of-the-art technology, the ride will capture elements never experienced within a theme park.’"

As of right now, this only happening at Universal Studios Hollywood. Of course, we expect this change to make its way to Universal Orlando Resort in the future. We hope it’s as good as the original. If anything, you have until Sep. 3 to experience it one last time.

Be sure to look out for Jurassic World Ride in 2019.
