Tom Brady

When you look at Tom Brady’s story, he seems pretty likable.

A sixth round pick in 2000, he only got on the field due to an injury and went on to become arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time. It’s an underdog story that Disney movies are made of. You can’t like Michael Jordan for being the best ever and having a competitive fire like no one else and then criticize Brady for those same accomplishments and qualities.

The difference between Brady and Jordan is simple: Brady flaunts his greatness.

Maybe if Jordan existed in the social media driven era of today, he would do the same thing. But he existed in an era where our only knowledge of his arrogance are stories from former players and beat writers. Did he really walk into the Bullets locker room prior to a playoff game, light a cigar, and ask, “Who’s going to check me tonight?” Probably. But Juwan Howard didn’t post it on Twitter with the hashtag “GOAT.”

Meanwhile, Brady is all over social media with his supermodel wife. He’s doing documentaries on his life. He’s writing books. There’s reportedly a movie in the works. We get it, Tom. You’re the scrappy underdog who went on to be the best ever. Now you’re a vegan or something. We don’t need the TB12 plan of diet and inspiration. It’s not going to help a regular person like me land Karlie Kloss.

Brady: Not with that attitude.

Shut up, Tom.
