Defense/Special Teams and Kicker

The defense is one to keep an eye on. There’s going to be weeks where you’ll want to stream them and take advantage of a good matchup. Buffalo added a pass rusher in Trent Murphy, a solid interior lineman in Star Lutolelei and Tremaine Edwards in the draft.

Edwards should start right away even at his young age There’s sure to be some mistakes but he’s oozing with talent and should still be a net positive for the defense. Vontae Davis might really be the key to a lot on defense. If he gain get close to his old level of play, the rest of the defense will be freed up to make more plays.

Stephen Hauschka is a borderline kicker at best. While kickers are generally volatile from year to year, it’s hard to see him improve on a 12th place finish last year in an offense that should be worse.

Sleeper – Zay Jones – This is just a PPR league special but Jones could carry some appeal. He’s basically not being drafted at this point. Sure, you would need McCarron or Allen to be better than many people think. Jones will also have to take a large step forward as he had a horrendous catch rate in his rookie year. It was under 40 percent, which is unfathomable in today’s NFL. With that being said, he showed flashes of talent. If he fails, it’s not that big of a deal because you’re spending so little to get him.

Bust – LeSean McCoy – This really isn’t fair because as long as McCoy stays healthy, he’s going to return value as a high end RB2. He’s also the only player being taken in a range that could be considered a “bust”. Barring injury, Buffalo really doesn’t have a bust candidate.

Overview –  The Bills are really not an attractive team for fantasy. It’s McCoy and then a bunch of shots in the dark that could pan out or could be irrelevant for fantasy. There’s plenty of fantasy players who think the same way because there aren’t any high picks outside of McCoy. Maybe someone emerges from the pack but on draft day, it’s best to mostly steer clear of the Bills for fantasy.
