10. Philadelphia 76ers — Luka Doncic (1.1% chance)

As much as any team in this year’s lottery, the championship window for the Philadelphia 76ers is wide-open. Their plan is to compete for a title over the next few years and between Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz, they already have the foundational pieces. The Sixers will spend this summer looking to tweak around the edges, adding free agent role players who can help support their core. But leaping to the top of the draft would give them a chance to take another swing at a star.

Philadelphia doesn’t necessarily need any of the archetypes that are likely to be available at the top of the draft but double-down on a versatile wing like Doncic makes a lot more sense than chasing another big like Bagley, Ayton or Jaren Jackson Jr. Trae Young could be an interesting addition but watching the series between Philadelphia and the Celtics makes it clear how Doncic could help. He would give the Sixers another shot creator, he can space the floor and play off-the-ball around Simmons and Embiid, and his size means he could matchup with the switchy wings that other contenders are stocking up on.
