Sample Lineup with an Ace

P – Chris Sale

C/1B – Kurt Suzuki

2B – Brock Holt

3B – Anthony Rendon

SS – Johan Carmago

OF – Michael A. Taylor, Ben Zobrist, Ender Inciarte

Utility – Ronald Acuna

Using Sale makes things a little difficult for tonight. Once I did this build, I ended up with a Braves stack which wasn’t necessarily the goal but I don’t hate it either. You need a couple of punts when you pay over $11,000 for a pitcher and Carmago is a perfect fit for that. Is Holt anything special? Not really but I’ll always be ok taking a chance with a piece of the Red Sox offense. Taylor hits lefties much better than righties so this is a good spot to use. Zobrist should be able take advantage of McCarthy falling apart again and we polish it off with a couple more Braves.

Sample Lineup without an Ace

P – Caleb Smith

C/1B – Mitch Moreland

2B – Javier Baez

3B – Jose Bautista

SS – Johan Carmago

OF – Kyle Schwarber, Josh Reddick, Ender Inciarte

Utility – Ronald Acuna

Even when you don’t pay up for a stud pitcher, it’s hard to avoid the Cubs and Braves game for offensive players. That game features two of the worts pitchers of the five games and I think it’s fairly clear that they are the worst two. Since all the other games feature very solid to excellent pitchers, I’ll take my chances with the bats in this game. It remains to be seen if I pay up for Sale. Smith has a great shot at around 40 FanDuel points and he’s $4,000 cheaper. It’s much easier to build an offense that you feel confident in.

Stacks to Consider – Cubs or Braves, Yankees(at Washington for GPP only), Red Sox(vs Oakland), Astros(at Angels)
