The second week of regular season games in the NBA 2K League featured one team staying hot and two others getting a W for the first time.

As the 17 NBA 2K League teams navigate through the regular season looking to assert themselves and nab top seeds in the midseason tournament, going undefeated serves both of those interests well. Eight teams enter Week 2 without a loss, and Pistons GT had a chance to follow up their Week 1 win with more momentum.

The first game of the night was a rematch of the first game in NBA 2K League history, which saw Bucks Gaming fall to Pistons GT 49-44 to start “The Tipoff.” Friday night’s rematch would be a close game as well.

After Pistons GT (1-0) held a 31-25 lead at the half, Bucks Gaming (0-1) outscored them 16-7 in the third quarter to take a 3-point lead into the final period. That effort was capped off by this bucket by KinG PeroXide.

A back and forth final quarter saw Bucks Gaming claim a lead with as little as 30.4 seconds showing on the clock, but this play by Pistons GT’s Lets Get It Ramo and iiNsaniTTy sealed the 57-56 win.

Im So Far Ahead led Pistons GT with 24 points on the night, moving his team to 2-0 in regular season games. Bucks Gaming was led in scoring by oLarry with 21 and now has a regular-season record of 0-2.

The second game of the night put the team Pistons GT defeated last week, Heat Check Gaming (0-1), on the stage to face Warriors Gaming Squad (0-1).

Just over the halfway mark in the second quarter, Heat Check’s Hotshotx305 showed his complete disregard for Warriors Gaming opponents on his way to the basket and help his team hold a 30-21 lead at the break.

Warriors Gaming’s Vert continued his strong start to the season with this slam, trying to keep his team from getting ran out of the building late in the third quarter.

Vert’s efforts turned out to be insufficient, however, as Heat Check claimed its first regular-season win 69-58. Hotshotx305 dropped 25 to lead Heat Check to 1-1 on the season, while Vert’s 19-point performance shined despite Warriors Gaming’s now 0-2 start to the season.

The final game of the night featured two more teams looking for their first win of the regular season, Pacers Gaming (0-1) and Wizards District Gaming (0-1).

WolF 74 was a force for Pacers Gaming during “The Tipoff” and he helped his team to a 31-28 halftime lead with this dunk.

Wizards District would stay close throughout the second half, and Friday night’s games delivered another contest that came down to the wire as Jinsanity threw down the winning bucket.

Wizards District moves to 1-1 with the 63-62 win, while Pacers Gaming falls to 0-2. Boo Painter led Wizards District with 28 points and 10 rebounds to upstage Pacers Gaming’s TuckerLocksUp’s 23 points. Heading into play on Saturday, May 19, the league’s standings are as follows:
