The ever-popular men’s ski big air competition is just days away and the host, X Games Norway, plays stage to one of the most fun events this year.

The competition, which touches down in Norway on Friday, May 18 (men’s big air will be held the following day) will feature a showdown between 14 men representing a total of six countries. Take a look at the line-up below, which includes one American.

Men’s Ski Big Air Line-up

  • Henrik Harlaut (SWE)
  • Kai Mahler (SUI)
  • James Woods (GBR)
  • Oystein Braaten (NOR)
  • Fabian Bosch (SUI)
  • Ferdinand Dahl (NOR)
  • Christian Nummedal (NOR)
  • Felix Usterud (NOR)
  • Birk Rudd (NOR)
  • Hugo Burvall (SWE)
  • Oscar Wester (SWE)
  • Elias Syrja (CAN)
  • Jesper Tjader (SWE)
  • Alex Hall (USA)

The sole representative of the United States is former Olympian Alex Hall, who came in 16th place in his Olympic debut (slopestyle) at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. He also had a successful career in the Youth Olympics, earning a silver in slopestyle and fourth place in halfpipe in Lillehammer in 2016. Hall stands at a whopping six-foot-four, which makes him the tallest skier scheduled to compete.

When Hall was just 18 years old he made his X Games debut and finished 13th in Aspen and 16th in Norway. He took fourth overall on the AFP rankings for slopestyle for that season and hopes to climb the rankings this time around. He has yet to medal.
