Chicago Sky at Indiana Fever live stream: How to watch online
By Ian Levy
The Chicago Sky start their 2018 WNBA season on the road against the Indiana Fever. Here’s all the information you need to watch online.
The Sky and Fever finished with the two worst records in the Eastern Conference last season (although the Sky were tied with the Atlanta Dream at 12-22) and both will be looking to begin bounce-back seasons.
The Fever are beginning a WNBA season without Tamika Catchings for the second time since 2001. Catchings, who retired at the end of the 2016 season after 15 years with the Fever, was a former MVP, five-time Defensive Player of the Year and as third on the WNBA’s all-time scoring list. Her presence was sorely missed last season as Indiana finished just 9-26. Fever added depth in this year’s draft, picking up Kelsey Mitchell and Victoria Vivians in the first round. Both could play big roles for the team this season, especially Mitchell with her value as an outside shooter and perimeter scorer.
The Sky return their core of Stefanie Dolson, Allie Quigley and Courtney Vandersloot. The latter two make for a potent backcourt, with Vandersloot orchestrating the offense and Quigley burying opponents with her outside shooting — she led the Sky in scoring last season at 16.4 points per game and made 43.0 percent of her 5.8 3-point attempts per game. Dolson also presents a mismatch with her ability to step out and his 3s (she made 43.7 percent last season) from the center position.
Can the interesting cores for each team make a dent in the standings this year?

The WNBA has also announced an incredible initiative this season, donating $5 from the sale of every ticket to a charitable organization chosen from a slate of options by the purchaser. In addition, the league will donate an additional ticket to send a young woman or girl to a future WNBA game. If you’re in a WNBA city and have a chance to attend a game in person this year, don’t miss your chance to see top notch basketball and do some good.
