5 other tracks where the NASCAR All-Star Race package could make the racing better

2. Pocono Raceway
It’s one of the big upsets in NASCAR that this track still has two Cup Series races. There was some thought it would lose one when Las Vegas got its second race, but New Hampshire drew the short straw instead. Pocono Raceway does a great job making its weekends into events, but the on-track product at the Tricky Triangle has been lacking in fun for a long time.
Because of its three straightaways, the spoilers and aero elements might even be more effective here than at some of the 1.5-mile circuits on our list. The question would be how the cars would handle in the three different corners, which would likely drive crew chiefs even more insane than they already are when the visit Long Pond. The XFINITY Series is using the rules package at Pocono later this year, so we’ll learn a lot about whether this would make sense for the Cup Series as well.
