Rally towels are fun fan fare and one of the more workable giveaways organizations can do. The Washington Capitals keep that fire going in a must-win Game 6 against the Lightning.

After an up-and-down six games against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Capitals went from two straight wins to three straight losses and don’t want to go home tonight.

The answer? Towels!

Rally towels are hockey’s great equalizer and a fan favorite. The towels themselves are important, but it’s what the teams do with the towels that means even more. Unleash the Fury; at least, that’s what the Caps hope to do tonight. Think about being the people spelling that out for the night? That’s awesome.

We also just have to point out the first response to Tarik’s tweet.

YEAH. MORE TOWELS. That’s how she meant it.

The Golden Knights and San Jose Sharks have done their towel thing, and they’ve been okay, but fury unleashing? Spooky and exciting.

The Knights used the mascot that everyone didn’t know they’d love as the face to spread their message:

Alright; I’ll admit I loved the Sharks Duck Hunt concept:

The Capitals didn’t go for design, but words! Does that spell success tonight? They hope. After giving up 10 goals in two games to start, Lightning netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy has only allowed two in each of the last three. That Lightning offense rose to the occasion as well, scoring at least three goals in each win.

A quick turnaround, and in Game 5 the Capitals were looking to take back momentum they lost after two straight home losses. After taking the first two on the road, we thought maybe they’d find a way, but they never took control in Tampa. So home it is, rally towels and all. Can the Capitals muster one last home win and push this thing as far as it can go? Unleash whatever fury you’ve got, Washington!
