Power ranking P.J. Tucker’s five best playoff outfits

2. The hat with the Gucci windbreaker
I have to admit, this one is a little confusing at first. It’s not nearly as cohesive, aesthetically, as the ensembles we’ve looked at already. The jacket is all bright colors. There is some orange in the hatband, but the hat itself is a muted earth tone. You could be forgiven if you assumed this was Tucker in a rush, grabbing whatever was clean on laundry day. But take a closer look…
The windbreaker says “huge fan of Saved By The Bell.” The hat says “loved Emilio Estevez in Young Guns.” Tucker is just 33 years old, not really young enough to have enjoyed either on their first run, but Saved By The Bell and Young Guns are the kind of timeless film projects whose impact lives on forever. Tucker isn’t being haphazard here, or even being kitsch. He’s making a subtle homage to one of his favorite shows and one of his favorite movies, he’s revealing that his knowledge of culture goes much deeper than just clothes.
