New England Patriots: How much does Tom Brady have left in the tank?

When it comes to the 2018 New England Patriots, where does one begin? Well, first of all, they should be the favorite to come out of the AFC this season, because they have Tom Brady, and apparently, Father Time does not know where he lives at this point.

This offseason, the Patriots saw a bunch of solid contributors from last season leave the team. On offense, the 2018 Patriots will be without Danny Amendola, Dion Lewis, and Brandin Cooks, all of which will be suiting up for another team. On defense, Malcolm Butler left for Tennessee, but that was expected after the team benched him in the Super Bowl.

No matter the new faces that come aboard in New England, there has been one constant under center for the last 15 years. That man is Tom Brady, and while he is already way up there in age when it comes to a football player, he does not seem to be slowing down one bit.

Heading into the 2018 season, fans of the Patriots have to be wondering how much left he has in the tank. We saw the sudden downfall of Peyton Manning only a few years ago, as he was almost a useless quarterback just a couple of seasons after throwing for an NFL record 55 touchdowns.

Patriots fans will never admit this, but eventually, there is going to have to be life after Tom Brady. Usually,  the Patriots have some solid backups in place, but a look at the depth chart is almost alarming at this point. Brady threw for over 500 yards in the team’s Super Bowl loss, so he is fine, but really, how many years does he have left in him?
