FanDuel Lineup and Picks for Monday, May 28
Cardinals at Brewers
Cardinals Probable Starter – Luke Weaver, RHP
4.31 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 21.9 strikeout rate
Vs LHH – .293 average, .335 wOBA, 34.6 fly ball rate and 26.3 hard contact rate
Vs RHH – .191 average, .254 wOBA, 39.0 fly ball rate and 29.1 hard contact rate
Weaver has started to right his ship. lately with at least 33 points in three straight starts. That streak is in serious jeopardy today as the Brewers are a tough offense to solve in Miller Park. The good thing for Weaver is the Brewers lineup leans towards righty hitting and that should help him a little bit. I still wouldn’t trust him on the road with the Brewers offense clicking on all cylinders right now. They have scored at least four runs in seven of their last nine games and that includes games of 8,9 and 17 runs put up. Travis Shaw is likely hitting clean up but is also up over $4,000. That makes me a little uncomfortable with hm but Christian Yelich is still just $3,600. It’s not the worst thing to do to go against the grain and play Domingo Santana or Jesus Aguilar either.
Brewers Hitters to Target
Elite Options – Christian Yelich, Jesus Aguilar, Domingo Santana
Secondary Options – Travis Shaw
Brewers Probable Starter – Brent Suter, LHP
4.56 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 18.2 strikeout rate
Vs LHH – .200 average, .258 wOBA, 36.2 fly ball rate and 32.6 hard contact rate
Vs RHH – .290 average, .366 wOBA, 33.9 fly ball rate and 35.7 hard contact rate
It’s fairly easy to see who we’re going to chase right here and that’s righty batters for the Cardinals. I can’t see any way that I would use Suter and you could comfortably load up on St. Louis today. I had Marcell Ozuna in my lineup yesterday and backed off at the last minute. Had I stuck to my guns, we would have cashed comfortably instead of sweating. he could be a core play today as he’s really started to wake up and his price hasn’t caught up. Tyler O’Neil could be on double dong alert as his power upside could get shown off in this park. I like Jose Martinez but would rather find the extra $200 to play Tommy Pham in this game. A terrific punt option at third base is Yario Munoz, who could see more playing time and has some potential as a hitter.
Cardinals Hitters to Target

Home Run Pick – Marcell Ozuna

Sample Lineup
P – Jacob deGrom
C/1B – Evan Gattis
2B – Jose Altuve
3B – Yario Munoz
SS – Amed Rosario
OF – Ben Zobrist, Starling Marte, Marcell Ozuna
Utility – Andrew Benintendi
The more I think about deGrom, the better I feel about playing him today. He’s such a good pitcher that I think he can continue to get the better of the Atlanta lineup. Gattis hasn’t seen the price catch up to his recent production and I’ll pair him up with Altuve. The only knock against Altuve is law of averages. He just went 10 straight at-bats with a hit. We’ll take some savings at third and shortstop. If Brock Holt is in the lineup, I’d replace Rosario. Four outfielders polish everything off and this looks like a solid squad to carry into a cash game.
The Core – Starling Marte, Marcell Ozuna, Evan Gattis
Stacks To Consider – Astros(at New York), Cardinals(at Milwaukee), Pirates or Cubs, Red Sox(vs Toronto)
