Someone like Dana Holgorsen is the perfect head coach for the college football landscape. He cares more so and gets more stressed out than most other coaches you’ll see around the country, which signals how much passion he has for leading the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Moreover, few teams have as much hype coming on the offensive side of the ball in the nation this year than West Virginia. Holgorsen should have himself a very interesting coach-quarterback relationship with superstar quarterback Will Grier. All eyes will be on the two in the Big 12 throughout the regular season.

If Holgorsen can get his defense to hold up this year, he’ll definitely be commended for the job he was able to do. He’s known as an offensive heavy coach that plays an exciting brand of football scheme-wise, and he proved that over the past two years with West Virginia.

He’s also steadied out the Mountaineers in the Big 12 over the past two seasons, including his first double-digit win season back in 2016. Holgorsen should be considered a coach with his stock on the rise, depending on how he does with West Virginia this fall, barring any major injuries.
