What’s cooler than having your head coach getting to broadcast at the College Football Playoff National Championship Game last season? That’s somewhat of a trick question for fans of the Auburn Tigers, who saw their program fall short against a Group of Five program in the UCF Knights in the Peach Bowl, officially letting down some massive expectations.

Entering the 2017 SEC Championship Game, Auburn looked like the favorite to win over the Georgia Bulldogs and possibly make a run to win the National Title. After defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn was in the driver seat to represent the SEC in the College Football Playoff.

Yet, losing to both Georgia and UCF in the final two games of the year puts Malzahn a bit lower on this list. However, a different thing that he has going for him is the decision to stay with Auburn after he definitely garnered some interest from the Arkansas Razorbacks after it let go of Bret Bielema.

Just one year of getting Auburn into the Playoff would put Malzahn on the map of one of the coolest head coaches to have in the nation for any program. He stays calm, cool, and collected throughout a ton of unfair pressure coming his way.
